The photo ark is a huge collection of photos taken by Joel Sartore, who is a very talented photographer and speaker for National Geographic, in a fantastic effort to document incredible species of animals before they become extinct.
This beautiful Diamondback Terrapin has decided to pop his head out for a photo. You can see the water on the beautiful animal, from which he would have emerged from for this photo opportunity, as terrapins spend most of their time in the water. There are some amazing colours to be found on this fascinating animal, that is covered in what could be described as polka dots all over it’s body and chin! A lovely jigsaw puzzle that is very enjoyable to complete.
